Cindy Armbruster
Biography
Cindy is a multilingual actress working on stage, screen, and film in Switzerland and internationally, with a particular love for classical and contemporary drama.
While still pursuing her Master's degree in English Literature and Mathematics at the University of Bern, she worked as a translator. She then completed her acting training in London at LAMDA and East15 Acting School. Since 2023, she has been living in Basel again.
Among other roles, Cindy performed in the German-language premiere of Airswimming by British playwright Charlotte Jones (Compagnie Playades, directed by Eva Mann) and in the world premiere of Agnes Colander (Ustinov Studio/Theatre Royal Bath and at the Off-West End Jermyn Street Theatre, directed by Sir Trevor Nunn).
Cindy is the mother of two young children and has been disabled since birth: she has one small hand and one large hand. Visibility of disabled performers and parents in the performing arts is very close to her heart.
